What is a Preferred Supplier List (PSL)?

A preferred supplier list (PSL) is a list that companies have of recruiters they prefer to deal with. Only agencies that are on this list are able to provide resumes via the company’s online system. Other agencies sending resumes are deemed to be unsolicited and will not be accepted. Recruitment agencies can apply to be on the PSL for an organisation which is usually on a contractual basis. Companies have several reasons for using a preferred suplier list including reduction in costs or if they are in a high turnover environment.
