Recruitment glossary
What is Culture-Add?
Culture-Add refers to the potential of a candidate to add to an organisation’s cultural identity and takes a different approach to the traditional method of hiring for culture fit. While culture fit still plays an important role, its limitations are now well known. Culture-add, as an approach to hiring ensures that consideration is also given to what a candidate can offer an organisation in terms of diversity, specific skills and unique experiences. Giving both culture-fit and culture-add the same consideration allows the candidate being hired to thrive but also enhances the team overall.
