What are Flexible Work Arrangements?

Flexible work programs are work arrangements that allow employees greater scheduling freedom in how they fulfill the obligations of their positions. A flexible work arrangement includes flexibility in the scheduling of hours worked, flexibility in the amount of hours worked and flexibility in the place of work. Examples of flexible work programs are telecommuting, remote working, condensed workweeks, customized working hours, part-time positions, job sharing and flexible vacation time.
