The roles requires a detail-oriented, highly organised and self-motivated individual to plan, produce and execute quality events while maintaining client relations and administrating sales agreements.
Job Brief
We are looking for a strategic, yet detail-oriented Event Manager to plan, produce, and execute top quality events. The Event Manager’s primary focus will be obtaining and servicing bookings. Responsibilities include attracting clientele, administering sales agreements, and ensuring that all food, beverage and A/V needs are met. The Event Manager will be responsible for maintaining strong client relations and ensuring that event specifications are communicated and executed in order to create a successful experience for the client and the attendees.
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and solicit new business to achieve revenue goals
- Develop proposals for events that specify details and pricing for the event
- Coordinate all aspects of booked events from the time of booking to event execution
- Work as a liaison between client and facility to effectively communicate all needs of events to each department
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all supporting departments
- Ensure that all documents such as proposals and contracts are completed accurately and on-time
- Manage the events calendar in coordination with the Campaign Coordinator to make sure all events are appropriately scheduled and executed
Requirements
- Three years of event planning and project management experience
- Able to work effectively with staff, and vendors at all professional levels
- Ability to manage numerous competing priorities, adapt quickly to a variety of situations and remain calm under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience planning, managing, and seeing to completion multiple projects and activities at the same time
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and organisational and project management software
- Strong project management expertise and experience
- Hospitality industry experience preferred
- Must have a good business aptitude with strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in team pursuits
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motived, highly organised and detail oriented
- Bachelor’s degree
