Parental leave and support

Women account for 88% of all primary carer’s leave utilised. By increasing paid leave for the secondary carer and removing the qualifying period, we hope to support a more gender-balanced approach to care and reduce career interruptions for women. These interruptions mean that women typically face a retirement savings gap of around 30% compared to men, so we provide retirement contributions during paid and unpaid parental leave to mitigate that gap. Introducing gender-neutral paid leave means we can support the health and safety of all Adders when facing these issues.

Gender equality at JobAdder

JobAdder recently submitted the Workplace Gender Equality Report (WGEA) report. WGEA is an Australian Government statutory agency created by the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012, charged with promoting and improving gender equality in Australian workplaces.

The Act requires non-public sector employers with 100 or more employees in Australia to submit a report to WGEA annually. As part of the SEEK group, we contribute to their corporate submission for 2023.

JobAdder is also required to share a link externally on our website as part of the WGEA compliance requirements. If you would like to view the report documents you can do so below.
