Hello! Holly from JobAdder Support here. I’m going to give you some information on transferring records from one user to another.
From time to time you may have a user leave, or roles and responsibilities can change. For example Mary goes on maternity leave and Sally steps in to pick up their work for a period of time. The great news is that JobAdder has a feature that allows you to easily transfer ownership of JobAdder records from one user to another.
Transferring one User’s files to another User can be done a couple of ways:
Bulk Transfer – This can be done by going to Admin > Maintenance > Transfer Ownership.
Please note, this option will transfer all the files under the selected file type.
Here are some screenshots:
- Go to Admin
- Go to Maintenance > Transfer Ownership
- Select “Make a Transfer”
- Select Old Owner > Select New Owner > Select Files > Start Transfer
This allows you to transfer specific records, rather than all records like you would in the Bulk Transfer. Simply go to the Record you would like to Update > Edit > Change the Owner > Save Changes.
Here is an example of changing a Job Record:
You have now transferred files from one user to another, just like that!
