The JobAdder Support team is always on the lookout for handy tools to reduce hassle and we think this one is a corker.
If you’ve been using JobAdder for any length of time, you’ve probably spotted our bulk resume uploading feature (found in the Candidates tab > Add Resumes). This feature lets you upload up to 200 resumes at a time (if your internet connection is up to the task!) which can be a real timesaver. A problem that some of you have mentioned to us is that your resumes are marooned in Outlook, forcing you to laboriously download each resume to your computer then upload them to JobAdder.
Fear not! We’ve found a solution.
Outlook2Web is a Windows-only extension for Outlook 2016, Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010 – sorry Outlook 2003 users, perhaps it’s time to treat yourself to an upgrade? The extension will let you drag and drop resumes directly into JobAdder (and lots of other places on the web too). Not too shabby eh?
Here’s what the extension looks like when it’s installed in your desktop Outlook:
Once it’s installed you can immediately start dragging resumes from Outlook into the Jobadder ‘Add Resumes’ page, it’s that easy!
How much does it cost?
The developer offers a 7-day free trial (woo!) so you can make sure it works on your computer, then after that they charge $29 USD for a Corporate License and $39 USD for a Personal License. More info on the pricing here.
Does it work on a Mac?
Unfortunately, this extension only works on Windows computers, but modern Macs can run Windows too. There’s a bit of configuration involved, but your IT Support folks will be able to assist here.
Please note: JobAdder has no affiliation with Outlook2Web. If you have any questions about installing or using the extension, you can contact the developers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Come back soon for some more hints and tips to help you get the most out of JobAdder 🙂
